What's New Activity Feed

The What’s New application displays an entire history of new content that has been created and modified on the intranet. It shows the content name, type, location, author, and time of creation. Intranet users can also create a personalized view of What’s New to filter only the content of their choice. Users can also see items for their review and those that have been work-flowed to them.

Employee Directory

The People application displays all the registered users of Noodle intranet, along with their Corporate Wisdom. From here, users can tag their co-workers or send an email to other users. Users can be viewed by expertise or groups.

Instant Messenger (chat)

Noodle’s built-in Instant Messenger application allows employees to chat with each other. By keeping communication internal you can ensure your staff is working together and collaboration on corporate projects. Users can embed photos and videos in their messages. Instant Messenger notifies users of new messages through a blinking notification on their web browser, as well as an optional audio notification.

Personal Home Pages

Customize your Noodle intranet experience by choosing your own home page. For example, set your Department’s portal page as your home page, so it’s the first thing you see after you log in. Alternatively, you can create your very own home page by using the Page app in your profile page.

My What's New

Turn Noodle into a productivity tool by customizing your What’s New Feed. See only new items that are relevant to you, such as new content posted in your Department, or by your co-workers. You can also subscribe to email updates or with an RSS reader.

Shared Documents

The Folder application provides document management functionality. Create unlimited folders to hold any type of file. Advanced features include check in, check out of documents, document approvals, version control, and work flow.

Calendars

The Calendar application plays a key role in an effective intranet. Create unlimited calendars use them to publish upcoming company events. Each user within your intranet can also have a private calendar for personal or shared events. Departments can also have their own calendars, so that you can keep track of conferences, resources, webinars, and presentations. Events can repeat and notifications can be sent via email to the event participants. You can integrate your Noodle calendar with Microsoft Outlook calendar.

Database Forms

Use the Database application to create custom electronic forms and collect, sort, and run detailed reports on the data collected. No wonder the Database form builder is one of the most frequently used applications in Noodle. It can be used to create vacation request forms, contact databases, surveys, or anything that requires data collections and retrieval.

Task Manager

The Task Manager application allows your team to create Kanban Style columns and tasks. Tasks are stored as drag and drop tiles underneath the columns. Customize columns to match your workflow and process. Keeping your team on track is easier than ever using the Report Options, allowing you to filter your tasks by: progress, assigned user, and upcoming due dates. From a team leader perspective you can now visualize your project workload and see who’s working on what in real time, all in one collaborative workspace.

Intranet Pages

In Noodle intranet, the Page application lets you create an intranet page to hold content.
You create and edit a Page with Noodle’s built-in WYSIWYG editor. If you know how to use Microsoft Word, then you can easily create, edit, and format a Page in Noodle. You can embed multi-media, such as images, links, slideshows, videos, and widgets using the embed code from popular social media sites. A Page can also contain other Noodle applications or other Pages.

Blog

Use the Noodle Blog application to share important information with staff. You can have multiple contributors to one blog, and create multiple blogs within Noodle. The Blog application’s rich-text editor lets you add links, images, widgets, and tables to your blog.

Shared Links

Use the Links application to quickly store and categorize important website links for your staff. It’ a superior alternative to having employees bookmark important links within their Internet browsers.

Photo Album

The Photo Album is a popular application. Use it to store and share important product photos or pictures of company events, without clogging up your email.

Discussion Forum

The Discussion Forum application lets users communicate with each other, and share and document thoughts on a specific subject. With three levels of categorization — Forum, Category, and Topic — this tools is very scalable. Because the application has the same built-in WYSIWYG editor, discussion posts can accept rich text such as links, images, tables, and video. Discussions are stored in the Intranet, which means users can continue to contribute to them, building up corporate knowledge.

External Links

The External Link application lets you link to external website from your Noodle intranet’s navigation menu. Typically this is used to send intranet users to an external website, while keeping them within the Intranet interface. With one click, intranet users can access an external website — without ever leaving Noodle.

Conference Room

The Conference Room application allows multiple people to have online meetings, just like a web-based chat room. Users can share rich media during a meeting by attaching files to their messages. It’s also possible to direct a message to specific people. Users can create a meeting summary, which is saved for future reference.

Knowledge is priceless. Using the Question Manager to ask, answer and archive employee questions create a valuable knowledge base of information. Questions can be answered by multiple people and the person who asked the question can choose the best answer. Categorize questions as either unsolved or solved.
