Block Based Page Building
The built-in block editor allows you to create and edit content within Noodle. Easy point and click designing means no coding. Your team will be able to easily embed multi-media, such as images, links, slideshows, videos, and widgets.
Employees take pride in decorating their desks and making their work area personable. Their profile should be the same. Noodle allows this to happen with our heavily customizable “My Profile” page.
Use the Form Builder application to create custom electronic forms and collect, sort, and run detailed reports on the data collected. The Form Builder is one of the most frequently used applications in Noodle. It can be used to create vacation request forms, contact databases, surveys, or anything that requires data collections and retrieval.
The Calendar application plays a key role in an effective enterprise collaboration. Create unlimited calendars and use them to publish upcoming company events. Each user within Noodle can also have a private calendar for personal or shared events. Departments can also have their own calendars, so that you can keep track of conferences, resources, webinars, and presentations.
Single Sign-On (SSO) enables users to use one username/password for all of their connected applications. The SSO feature extends the ability of your active directory’s single sign-on seamlessly, so that you don’t have another password to remember to log into your Noodle. Noodle even supports connecting with Third Party SSO services, such as Okta, OneLogin and Centrify.
User/Group Access Rights
Noodle allows administrators to set permissions for each application and section for users or groups. The Access Rights Read, Post, Modify and Admin are integrated making Noodle a very flexible secure platform that provides the ability to finely set the level of access.
Cloud or On-Premise
Noodle can be hosted in the cloud or installed locally on your Windows or Linux Server. Functionality is identical and Noodle is portable so it can be exported at a later date if required. Noodle can be hosted on multiple cloud server all over the world to fulfill service localization requests.
The Noodle Theme designer allows you to brand and customize the look of your Noodle. Various options such as: the Navigation location, colour coding, colours, logos, backgrounds and more can be changed. Easily create a vibrant and attractive branded site using the built-in options, or customize even further by changing the CSS code supplied.
Noodle’s fully integrated notification system keeps everyone up to date via email or chat notifications. Notifications can be set for new, modified or archived content. Each Notification can have a custom subject and body to help differentiate the notifications.
Use the Links application to quickly store and categorize important website links for your staff. It’s a superior alternative to having employees bookmark important links within their Internet browsers.
Knowledge is priceless. Using the Question Manager to ask, answer and archive employee questions create a valuable knowledge base of information. Questions can be answered by multiple people and the person who asked the question can choose the best answer.
Use the Employee Directory to easily find the employee you are looking for. The employee directory will also show who is online and their contact information. You are also able to view employees by their respective Group or by their area of Expertise. Noodle can also automatically generate an organization chart based on who users managers.
The Conference Room application allows multiple people to have online meetings, just like a web-based chat room. Users can share rich media during a meeting by attaching files to their messages. It’s also possible to direct a message to specific people. Users can create a meeting summary, which is saved for future reference.
Noodle’s built-in Video Conferencing & Chat application allows employees to chat with each other. By keeping communication internal you can ensure your staff is working together and collaboration on corporate projects. Users can embed photos and videos in their messages. Instant Messenger notifies users of new messages through a blinking notification on their web browser, as well as an optional audio notification.
The Task Manager application allows your team to create Kanban Style columns and tasks. Tasks are stored as drag and drop tiles underneath the columns. Customize columns to match your workflow and process. Keeping your team on track is easier than ever using the Report Options, allowing you to filter your tasks by: progress, assigned user, and upcoming due dates.
Noodle’s ‘Workflows” feature, allows you to facilitate common tasks in the workplace and expand the features of Noodle applications. Get the most productivity out of your Noodle by creating Workflows to automate tasks, send auto-notifications and more. There are dozens of different uses with hundreds of potential paths.
Portal Pages allow you to create landing pages for departments or projects that contain new information from different areas of Noodle. A portlet can be a simple static text box or connected to an application showing the latest content created. Portal pages are a great way to keep everyone on the same page.
Noodle makes it easy to engage your employees and keep them up to date on new content. The”Activity Feed” application displays an entire history of new content that has been created and modified as well as personal status updates. Users can also create a personalized view of the Activity Feed to filter only the content of their choice and have new updates automatically sent to their e-mail.
Use the Noodle Blog application to share important information with staff. You can have multiple contributors to one blog, and create multiple blogs within Noodle. The Blog application’s block editor lets you add links, images, widgets, and tables to your blog. Enable workflows for controlled publishing.
The Media Album is a popular application for photos and now video as well! Use it to store and share important product photos or pictures of company events, without clogging up your email. Upload your own video to play in the Album, or link to an external video like YouTube.
The Analytics Application tracks and displays the site activity, user activity, and engagement. With this you can see the most popular applications and identify trends to increase employee engagement and build upon the success of your Noodle!
The Folder application provides powerful document management functionality. Create unlimited folders to hold any type of file or document. Advanced features include check in, check out of files & documents, document approvals, version control, and custom workflows.
Noodle’s Tags make it easy and convenient to categorize and sort content based on a hashtag keyword/phrase. Create your own hashtags that fit your business to help your employees find information easier and quicker than ever before.
The Discussion Forum application lets users communicate with each other, and share and document thoughts on a specific subject. With three levels of categorization — Forum, Category, and Topic — this tools is very scalable. Because the application has the same built-in block editor, discussion posts can accept rich text such as links, images, tables, and video.
Active Directory Sync
With Noodle, you are able to save time when managing users by synchronizing with your Active Directory. When you add, remove or modify a user in your AD, the changes are then pushed to your Noodle People Directory. This means you only need to update employee information in one place. Best of all, you can enabled LDAP Authentication so your employees don’t need to remember even more logins and passwords.
